Great to hear that others are tackling the travelling challenge. Are there any short cuts or useful suggestions you could make Red?

This sounds so awesome and it would be great if it could be transfered or extended to other areas. As a person that travels it is sometimes not possible to access discounts that locals can, either by not knowing about it or not being eligible.I'm heading to Brisbane/Gold Coast in july, any suggestions for such discount programs in that area available to travellors?

Yes, I think the companion card is a great idea. The government (both local and central) needs to be approached about bringing it to NZ.

if you have a disability and ever go to Paris, France, you can visit many attractions free of charge if you have a companion with you. you also have preferential entry at places like the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre. It is a wonderful feeling when you are not expected to take second-class service. I think every disability organisation must be encouraged to advocate for a companion card or something similar.

Hey,

I think this is a great idea. I believe they do extend this to visitors in certain cases. Personally I haven't used it but I have heard of people using it.
great article as usual Red.
