walking . is . overrated

Fresh from Jenny winning our latest iPod Nano competition, I’m extremely pleased to announce our next competition, where thanks to the awesome folk up in the SkyTower, the winner will get to experience the dizzying heights of Auckland’s SkyWalk!

Competition is open NOW, and entries close August 10. I’ll announce the winner the following week!

Awesome! What do I have to do to win? All you have to do is send me an email telling me about the most exciting and accessible ‘touristy’ thing you’ve ever done. It could be here in NZ or overseas, but the more you can tell us about how accessible it was, the more points you’ll score! Including a picture will score you even more!

It could be about leaping off a bungie in Queenstown, or riding a great accessible adventure ride on the Gold Coast, pretty much anything at all! I’ll choose the best one (taking into account things like how well the story was written, how accessible and exciting the experience was, and any ’supporting evidence’ such as a photo) and that, my friends, will be deemed the winner!

What will I win, exactly? You and a friend/support person will get to experience the awesome (and very accessible) SkyWalk for free! (All related costs are not included).

What’s the catch? To win this competition you or the person at the centre of the story must have some form of physical impairment! I’m sorry able-bodied people, sometimes it pays to be disabled You might also want to check out SkyWalk’s guidelines, as unfortunately if you don’t meet SkyWalk’s minimum requirements I won’t be able to give you the prize. And that would be really sad.
