Well mark this down in the ‘never-thought-it’d-happen’ file, but a bloke over in the UK has built the world’s first motorbike designed specifically for wheelchair users, and boy is it impressive. The bike is actually being shipped over here and donated to the CatWalk Trust, to be auctioned off to raise funds for spinal cord injury research. Campbell Live had a piece on the bike tonight, and you can catch the video here.
Drooling compulsory.
PS. I wonder if these will be funded by ACC? *stirs*

Hi Red The Conquest doesn’t lean over in a turn
Its only part of a motorbike! As a biker that broke my neck on a bike I’d also love to get back on a motor bike. There are other guys who have modified motorcycles that still can be used by para’s on race tracks and at high speed and most of all lean over.
BTW great site you have.
However the conquest does allow one to just roll up into the device and you still have your wheel chair with you at the destination and don’t need assistance to unload the chair.
