    …or even star, d'oh!

    Haha, gayassed, what the..? :P

    Very inpressed

Turn the sound off and watch it, then you will see why captioning is so important. The advert is meaningless and shows a real lack of social responsibility towards the largest group of people with disabilities (being hearing).

Cost, guessing bout 30 – 50k for the ad… so what's the problem with 200 – 500 bucks on captioning?

Poor effort, especially from a disability organisation like CCS.

Guess I'll just have to keep reading the coffee ads then.

Best comment yet, Matt. I didn't even think of that. I wonder if it'd be worth asking CCS why they didn't caption it… Especially given their tagline, 'Including all people'. I'll get in touch with the people in charge and let you know what they say!

  7. Philip says:

Come on guys, Deaf people shouldn't be expected to shell out $20 for people in wheelchairs to be able to get into buildings and compete for jobs ;-)

    Interesting point indeed though.

I thought Teletext has captions for some ads – does anyone know if this was the case for Red's gayassed movie star performance? :-D
