Disabled porn: What’s the deal?

Red January 22nd, 2008 10 Comments

LipsWhenever I check my site stats, nearly half of the searches which led to my site have some sort of pornography aspect to them, (for example: “disabled sex”, “amputee porn”, “naked disabled woman”) and I’m beginning to wonder what the deal is with all these people coming to this site looking for disability-related smut?! Is it genuine curiosity with the sexual dimensions of those with an impairment? Is it a perverse fascination? Or is it just representative of the claim that 12% of all websites are pornography-related?

I don’t know. But what I do know is there’s quite a funny post on this very subject over at The Gimp Parade on what “disabled porn” really means… Go check it out :)

Maybe this might be a funding stream to explore!! LOL

Maybe we, the disabled, can’t relate to “normal” porn. Mr. “johny the wad” doesn’t relate to us with Spina Bifida–ever think about that?

Someone posted some rather disturbing pictures of a nude disabled couple on a message board I visit, and I wondered who on earth would post such stuff, because it wasn’t clear if those people were totally aware of what was going on.

Did you think about disabled people, who might have got bored of seeing only able-bodied people in usual porn ?

I guess I’m one of those people. I googled disability porn after reading about the issues invovled with it in the Sourcebook on Violence Against Women because I had never heard of such a thing. Perhaps your hits are actually from various women’s studies majors doing the same thing.

I come upon because of amputee pornography as well. But that’s because i’m interested in this issue and am doing a literature review on apotemnophilia topic :D

Perhaps like myself, SOME may be dissabled and simply have it on their mind, tho id say the vast majority would be averavge Joe’s with the slightest S/M tendancy (which is not a bad thing). Others may be fantisising about pleasuring someone who (they think) may not otherwise be sexualy satisfied.
    Just a thought, good day.
Im off to actually find some porn involving dissabled people.

It was a porn search that brought me to your site. I am disabled and I would like to see images of other disabled having sex. I think it is unhealthy for us to see only images of the non-disabled having sex. Those images feed into the concept of us not being “good enough” or desirable.

    Michael,
    a guy with Spina Bifida

“disability humor” brought me here Red. I own a spinal cord injury disability website, about a quarter of my traffic is sex related searches but it’s climbing after I recently posted a wheelchair sex article at http://www.streetsie.com

I agree with Michael, there are beautiful sexy people in wheelchairs and the majority have healthy sexual desires, seeking like-minded partners as any person does.

I think %12 internet porn is morelike %70. I’ve done my share of trying to download it all lol.
