Snowplanet launches ‘Adaptive Snowsports Programme’

January 21st, 2008 · 2 Comments

Snowplanet LogoHow cool is this? Snowplanet is launching a snowsport coaching programme designed specifically for those with physical, sensory, and cognitive impairments! Snowplanet say they’re launching these coaching sessions to “ensure there is no limit to enjoying the freedom of skiing and boarding with your family and friends”. In case you’re not familiar with Snowplanet, Auckland’s indoor ’snowdome’, I thoroughly recommend you check out their website for more information.

Specialist adaptive equipment is available from their rental department and a team of on-snow volunteers trained to assist and teach disabled people to ski and snowboard! Disabled parking is also available. This new programme is available thanks to the support of Disabled Snowsports NZ. Make sure you phone to book, and you can get hold of Snowplanet in the following ways:

Address: 91 Small Rd, Silverdale
Phone: (09) 427 0044; 0800 SNOWPLANET
